About JimR, Chaplain

I'm a 75-year-old guy, in October 2025, who worked in Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune for 28 years and now retired as of 31 Dec 16. I've worked in medical records, the Health Benefits Department, Billing, and the IT department and retired as the Personnel Security Manager for the hospital. I'm a musician and Corvette enthusiast. Yes, I have had two. I traded my second Corvette for a Harley Davidson Fat Boy in mid-summer 2019. Then in 2024, I traded to an HD FreeWheeler FLRT. I've already ridden the new one a thousand miles in 6 weeks. I'm also searching for a fresh new outlook on life with new spiritual insight among other things. I was ordained a minister in 20190202. I've become certified with the American Chaplaincy Association through Aidan University in June '21. Presently, I am a volunteer Chaplain with our county Sheriff's Office. I've found that with the unconditional love of my companion, Libby Rowe life is complete through God. She's a beautiful, vibrant, giving woman who gives her all in everything she puts her mind to do. She and I married on 24 July 2015. She was ordained in February 2022. She has a blog too called Under a Carolina Moon. Give it a visit.

An Aside

I have not been regularly posting of late. For that I apologize. I should be more giving in what God gives me, but this post is totally off the side. I have been a Corvette aficionado for some twelve years. … Continue reading

Is the Devil to Blame for our Circumstances?

Colossians 3:1-4 – If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For ye … Continue reading

Praise and Worship Services

I recently saw a post about modern day praise and worship services among a lot of churches from small to mega size. Most of what I read was somewhat harsh about the so called the night club style of them. … Continue reading

Paige

I’m sad this afternoon. My first Papillon, Paige passed on this afternoon in my arms. She had been failing for a bit, but last night it took a quick decline. By morning she couldn’t walk. I sat with her most … Continue reading

Salvation

It’s a simple solution to the world. How it came about is a difficult thing. Jesus, the Son of God, had to die. To die a most horrible death. The physical aspects are incomprehensible. Torn to shreds by a cat … Continue reading

Sunday Morning

I feel torn this morning. My wife and I have become involved in a church we dearly love. The website I developed for it is here. https://www.kingdomculturechurch8.com/ It’s still under construction, so if you visit there you’ll find it incomplete. … Continue reading

OCD Leaves Me In A Flux

Lately it’s been sort of a “what to do” phase. Being pretty much organized with everything in its place and a place for everything it’s kind of difficult to do when you have other people in your house who have … Continue reading

Priorities

As the off-spring of a Preacher’s Kid (PK) I have that inside view of the family of religious upbringing. My mom was one of seven girls and two boys. One of the boys was killed in an accident before ten … Continue reading

Absent!?

I’ve been away from my keyboard for a week or so for the most part. Too much on my plate. I’m working on our church’s new ministry to be launched with the coming of spring. It’s called SERVOLUTION. I’m going … Continue reading
