About JimR, Chaplain

I'm a 75-year-old guy, in October 2025, who worked in Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune for 28 years and now retired as of 31 Dec 16. I've worked in medical records, the Health Benefits Department, Billing, and the IT department and retired as the Personnel Security Manager for the hospital. I'm a musician and Corvette enthusiast. Yes, I have had two. I traded my second Corvette for a Harley Davidson Fat Boy in mid-summer 2019. Then in 2024, I traded to an HD FreeWheeler FLRT. I've already ridden the new one a thousand miles in 6 weeks. I'm also searching for a fresh new outlook on life with new spiritual insight among other things. I was ordained a minister in 20190202. I've become certified with the American Chaplaincy Association through Aidan University in June '21. Presently, I am a volunteer Chaplain with our county Sheriff's Office. I've found that with the unconditional love of my companion, Libby Rowe life is complete through God. She's a beautiful, vibrant, giving woman who gives her all in everything she puts her mind to do. She and I married on 24 July 2015. She was ordained in February 2022. She has a blog too called Under a Carolina Moon. Give it a visit.

Just Get Up

I know. I haven’t written much lately. I didn’t know life could be so busy when I retired. Being off for the summer from driving a school bus lets me sleep in a bit longer, but I still have summer … Continue reading

Taken or Left?

Much is said about end times and there are many people that portend to know the Bible, yet have not completely sought the true meaning of prophesy. I used to be one of those of the camp of the “any … Continue reading

Paradigm Shift

I haven’t given up on writing about eschatological writings, but for now I have a more perplexing issue at hand. My studies have led me to an area of thinking I have not delved into before. I tried to express … Continue reading

THE RETURN – through Present Truth

I’m considering writing another book. It’s about a life-long journey I’ve made on a particular subject of mine that I thought I had a firm grip on. But in that firm grip I found God’s direction and urging to study … Continue reading

The Voice

Those of us that are Christians know the voice of our Shepherd. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: – John 10:27 A while back I shared how I hear God speak and had … Continue reading

God Loves Us

Learned a long time ago that God loves us. How do I know? He laid out a plan that will make us succeed at everything we do when we follow it through our relationship with Him and listening to Him. … Continue reading

Please Read Entirely

I had considered sitting here writing a piece on the crucifixion. Then I decided to hold off to wait for something to say. Not sure how to put this. Easter is an annual celebration observed throughout the Christian world. However, … Continue reading

Surety of Salvation

I remember many years ago as a young teen hearing God speak to me. It was about that time He started calling me to salvation. He also told me I was called to the ministry of an evangelist. I’m primarily … Continue reading
